Early Career Researcher Workshop 2026

We invite PhD students and early-career researchers to apply for the in-person Early-Career Workshop in Researching Care and Care Policy in Europe: Emerging Topics in Care and Care Policy to be held at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria, from Monday, 29 June 2026 (h. 13:00) to Wednesday, 1 July 2026 (h. 13:00).

Candidates are invited to send their CV, a summary of their research topic for presentation in the workshop (max. 500 words) and a motivation letter to julia.radlherr@wu.ac.at, by 30 January 2026. Successful candidates will be notified within two weeks.

The TCN organises an ESPAnet stream and the call for papers is closing soon!

The Transforming Care Network management team invites submissions for a dedicated stream focusing on “Care Configurations: Welfare reform to address contemporary care challenges” at the European ESPAnet conference at the University of Milan, 27th – 29th August 2025. In light of increasing unmet care needs and the inequities faced by various population groups, this stream seeks to explore contemporary welfare reforms that can enhance care outcomes.

The call for paper abstracts is open until April 24th, 2025. Don’t miss the opportunity!

TCN Spring Research Seminars

The TCN Members’ Panel will host two research seminars featuring network members’ scholarly work:

From ‘crisis’ to the ordinariness of life-making: Care (and) work among Ukrainian migrants in Warsaw by Dr. Daria Krinovos will be held online on April 15, 2025 at 12-1 pm (GMT). Please register in advance here.
